Not Second Best

If you came to my house, you might assume I favor one daughter over the other because our home is full of pictures of Put Pie and there is only one picture of Luna Pie gracing our walls. I love my Luna Pie just as much as I love my Put Pie, it’s just that since she is my second (but not second best) and I’ve never been very good about getting photos printed anyway, she got shafted.

I remember my brother complaining to my mother that she has way more pictures of me than him. I told him it is because I am much more photogenic, but maybe it is the curse of subsequent children to be under-represented in family photos.

Well, lucky for me I have a blog and I was approached by the lovely people of Easy Canvas Prints and asked if I would be interested in doing a review of their website, which provides an easy way to get your photos printed on canvas. The process was very simple and now I have this lovely 8X10 canvas of my gorgeous Luna Pie…

This picture doesn’t really do it justice, but trust me when I tell you that we love it. I’m thinking that Unknown Grandparents might like something similar for Christmas.

I received a complimentary 8X10 canvas print to facilitate this review.

Wow.  What a great opportunity to get such a great print of your little Luna! I’ll have to visit them and check them out!  How fun!

everyone I know say the same thing! The first kid is ‘the most photographed kid’ while all other kids are simply less photographed. I am so glad I was the first born! LOL

       …And I’m glad I wasn’t. Less incriminating evidence. 🙂

Oh so awesome.  I’d love to see the real one 😉  I love baby pictures, but I totally get it.

That said, I ADORE canvas prints.  I just took one this past weekend that is SOOOOO getting put on a canvas soon.  A really big one because it is such an awesome photo, and I can’t believe I actually took it 😉

And no, you aren’t the only one with photos not quite equal.  I’ve been concentrating a lot on getting pics of Little Miss, but there’s still a lot of making up to do!

I know exactly what you are saying. And how great you got a canvas! I love canvas prints. Unknown Grandparents will LOVE something like that, I’m sure.

I’m feeling the cuteness….even through the edit 😉

I never print out photos, either. But canvas prints are so cool and special, I need to get some.

I am #3 in my family sib tree. Apparantly, unlike my older sister and brother, I never walked, got a first tooth, went to “first day of school” or any other childhood activity – at least that’s the story in the family albums.

She looks adorable… from what we can see of course!  Like you, there are less photos of my later children than my first few.
And yaaaa. this comment was no trouble to leave.

the picture I’ve been wait for.  Someday when she runs for office she can use that picture to get the Mommy vote.  Ok maybe she could use it while running to the office and its raining.
Really thanks for posting that.  Now you need to modify you badge/bladge/button/clickable-pic-thing.
Quick story to verify you second, third, etc. child theory.  My wife rearranges the pictures setup around the house.  Our youngest (they are all adults, she the one not married) was pointing out the pictures on the piano to her little niece the other day.  I heard her say, “for some reason I’m not included the displayed pictures”.  It was true but all the other ones were the new “family/wedding” shots.

Be comforted, Unknown!  Taking and putting up less and less pictures of all the children AFTER the first is a very common malady.

I’m terrible about printing out pictures. I just never seem to get around to it. I’ve heard that the canvas prints are wonderful.

I love the look of photos printed on canvas.  I have heard that second child syndrome before.  I’m the only child so all the pics are of me.

It’s a case of the second child syndrome. We’ve got it going on full force at my house too!
