In my role as a Madrina del Baño for Pull-Ups #Everyflush, I have been received some great complimentary products for the process of potty training my youngest, Luna Pie. I’ve also gotten excellent potty training advice from experts Jeanette Kaplun and Dr. Andres Cotton via a teleconference.
It’s time I give you an update on how potty training is really going in our home. Luna Pie, loves her Pull-Ups as they have awesome Disney characters on them and they also remind her of the big-girl underwear her older sister gets to wear. She also loves her Minnie Mouse softee toilet seat and has asked to use it. I personally love the flushable Huggies Pull-up wipes we received because they make my life easier.
So is my cutie fully potty trained? Nope. She understands the concept, she gets what she is supposed to do, she can communicate to me when she has a soiled diaper, and on rare occasions she will ask to go on the potty. I’m not worried about it. I’m sure that in the very near future she will be ready to use the big girl potty on a regular basis. Until then, we celebrate #EveryFlush that she does make.
How do we celebrate? Oh we go all out. We pull out the party hats and noisemakers, we track her progress on the Pull-Ups Big Kid App (yup, there is an app for potty training, you should check it out). We emphasize the positive and use the time to communicate and bond because the truth is we are in the process of success. We’re getting there, we just haven’t gotten there all the way, yet.
If you or someone you know is in the process of potty training, I’ve got a great giveaway for you!

be patient with your child
i dont have one, we are on the journey. The best tip i got was wait until they are ready
Give them an assortment of books to read while on the potty.
We just started the process, and it is a process. He understands what it means and where to go but sometimes he doesn’t make it on time. I don’t make a big deal of it, it just means I’m doing a little more laundry… It’s more important to me that he feels comfortable with his body and I’m learning to read his subtle cues a little better too. We all got there eventually, right?
Don’t rush them wait till they ready and stick with it no matter how frustrated you get!!!
Consistency is key! Every 30 minutes to the potty!
Best potty tip = have patience! They will get it eventually! Also, use rewards and make a big deal when they finally do it right!
My best tip is do not push your child to train too early, as soon as my son turned two I assumed he must be trained because that was what the books said! Sadly it took until he was almost three for him to actually be ready.
best tip…don’t rush it! that’s what i’m telling myself at least
wait until they are about 3, unless they start showing signs on their own that they are ready
Don’t push them before they’re ready! If you wait until they show readiness, it is so much easier.
I reward my daughter with m&ms. We always celebrate when she goes potty.
My best suggestion is to be patient.
Patience always pays off. It is nice for the little ones to enjoy the process without the pressure! Hugs to Luna Pie. I can just imagine her curiosity!
Potty train when your little one is ready that way it prevents headaches and stress on both ends.
Make It Fun With Charts And Stickers To Keep Track Of Progress And Rewards Along The Way !:)
Oh we make lots of potty trips, and have some stories by the potty chair that we read!
Include your family in the training
Have a positive attitude, start potty training when your child is ready, take frequent trips to the potty, use incentives
To only do it when your child is ready, too many of my friends have deadlines and try to push their child to pottytrain (i.e. before the next baby is born) and I think this just makes things frustrating and confusing!

Be patient and be consistent with it
Potty in the morning is an instant success!
Wait til he/she is ready, then wait some more, and then wait again! Don’t start too soon!
Offer a small reward every time they go on the potty
Just to have patience and don’t rush! Also, a treat after they go always helps!
Relax 🙂

Ask them all the time if they need to go potty!
The bedt tip is to have pstience and try to stsrt in spring or summer….less clothes for them to deal with.
Definitely have patience and be prepared for a lot of messy tries.

You can struggle with it for a very long time, but once your child decides they’re ready it goes quickly.
Patience is the best tip I have
my best tip is to use positive reinforcement, when they do good give praise, when they mess up try not to over react
Be patient.
My tip is to make it fun. Never make accidents seem serious and always go over the top in telling little ones how excited and proud you are when the use the potty.
don’t over do it on the M&Ms mix up the treats
Reading a story while potty training is my tip, worked for my kids
