Protect Your Eyes From Sun Damage This Summer #TransitionsLens

My plans for the summer? Why thank you for asking. I plan to get out, get fit, enjoy the sights, and have fun with my family. I live in a beautiful city that has so much to offer and is visually stunning. I encourage you to get out this summer and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you and while you are out, pretty please remember to protect your eyes from sun damage.

Ever since I got my pair of Transitions® Lens glasses in April of this year, I have been taking full advantage of them. Whether seeing the sights on my recent trip to New York or visiting the zoo in my own beautiful city of San Francisco, when I have my Transitions® Lens glasses on, I know that 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays are being blocked and my sight is being protected.

Protect Your Eyes From the Sun

This summer I’ll be out and about as much as possible. Being outdoors means that we will get more sun exposure and although I love soaking up some vitamin D, I also cherish my family’s health and will do my best to keep us protected from any possible damage caused by the sun. Our summer sun protection essentials will include eyewear that protects our sight and ensures that we can enjoy even more sightseeing.

Transitions® Optical is the official sponsor of the Sightseeing Campaign. Get involved and you could win a fantastic sightseeing vacation. Learn more about the campaign and how you can enter to win a great vacation by watching the video below or visiting the Sightseeing Campaign website.

What are your summer sightseeing plans? Will you be travelling or enjoying local sights?

Whatever it is you do, please remember to protect your vision and your family’s vision from sun exposure on a daily basis. Do not take your eyesight for granted. Think of all the things you would miss seeing, of all the beautiful faces that you enjoy looking at, at how much the gift of vision truly means.

To find out more about how you can help preserve healthy sight for a lifetime for you and yours, visit: Healthy Sight for Life; there you can learn more about your risk factors based on age and ethnicity and the simple steps you can take to make sure you and your family are making the most of your vision in the present and protecting it for the future.

Wishing you a happy and healthy summer!

This is part of a sponsored campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Transitions Optical. I was provided with a complimentary eye exam and pair of eyeglasses to test for the purpose of this campaign. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Es muy cierto que poca antención le ponemos al cuidado de la visión y no nos ponemos a pensar qué pasaría si dejaramos de ver de forma adecuada lo que el mundo nos ofrece.

Summer has kicked into high gear in NYC but I will actually be in Los Angeles for the middle of summer and maybe longer? May have to get a pair of transition lenses so I can deal with the Cali sunshine 🙂

I always see these commercials and wonder how well they really work! I prefer to stick to my chic sunnies, but these could definitely work for my parents who have to wear visors on their glasses. So tickled they work well for you.
