Last weekend we drove from San Francisco to Sacramento to spend time with an auntie and uncle that the girls were missing. It took us a little under two hours to get there. Once we were there we had a great time relaxing, eating and exploring a bit. One of the places we got to spend a tiny bit of time in is called the R Street Corridor and it’s Sacramento’s Historic Industrial District. The area is 24 blocks long and 2 blocks wide and we really only got to check out a tiny section of it, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.

24 blocks seems pretty substantial.

I bet the girls had a fun time. Sounds like an interesting area to explore.

I always wondered how far from San Fran it is to Sacramento…I have a friend who lives there.

revitalized area with artsy shops and restaurants? There does seem to be a trend in cities to try that.

I’m glad you managed to enjoy yourselves. It’s always great to have the kids exploring some historical sights. They may not understand the importance but one they will remember with fondness when they were out and about with mummy and daddy.

Oh I missed posting last Sunday! I will pass along the information about this area. My great grandfather had a photography studio in Sacramento back in 1910….maybe it was along here!
