The San Francisco Botanical Garden encompasses 55 acres within Golden Gate Park. It is an incredible place to walk around and enjoy nature. San Francisco’s temperate climate and fog create an environment that makes it possible to “grow and conserve plants from all over the globe, including plants that are no longer found in their native habitats.”

I always try to pay a visit to the botanical gardens when I’m visiting a big city. It is such beautiful way to spend a couple of peaceful hours away from the crowds and see a little bit nature. I’ll be sure to visit the one in San Francisco if I am ever there.

Beautiful! I haven’t made it to SF’s botanical garden yet, but DC’s is one of my favorite city escapes!
