I love my city for so many reasons not least of which is that on any given day you can just hop on MUNI, the public transit in the city, and go somewhere on a whim. We were at home and the girls were getting antsy and so was the husband so we decided to go on a walk. We had no destination in mind, but when we found ourselves right by the N Judah train stop, we got on and ended up at the San Francisco Ferry Building, which was just bustling with activity.
We got off the train at the Embarcadero station and as soon as we headed up, there were street vendors galore to be had. Clothing, jewelry, art, you name it.
I didn’t take any photos while we were inside to share because it is crowded and I didn’t want to lose a kid. I’m kind of kidding about that, but it really is so busy that I had to keep an eye on my kids or they’d be swept into the crowd. I will share that I had to stop by Miette because I adore their pistachio macrons.

I love how these functional buildings were built so long ago and still the ones they use…
