DIY Pill Box for Pain Relief on the Go

I have received information and materials from ©Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. 2017.The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post. #ForWhatMattersMost #CollectiveBias

DIY Pill Box

Check out the cute little weekend warrior kit I put together for myself. It’s filled with what I consider to be my must have essentials for an active weekend, which are sunblock, water and Extra Strength TYLENOL®.

I wanted to keep the kit light so instead of packing a whole bottle of sunblock or a whole bottle of TYLENOL®, I went travel size. The sunblock is in one of those convenient squishy reusable bottles and for the pills I created a cute DIY travel pill box out of a travel sized tube of  Extra Strength TYLENOL® that can be refilled from the big bottle I keep at home as needed.

The weekend warrior kit and DIY pill box/container came about because I was at Target taking advantage of an offer they have where if you buy any combination of two Extra Strength TYLENOL® (100 ct or 225 ct), TYLENOL® 8 HR Muscle Aches & Pain (100 ct) or Extra Strength TYLENOL® Rapid Release Gels (100 ct or 225 ct), you get a $5 Target gift card.

The offer couldn’t have come at a better time because spring has sprung and before you know it summer will be here. Spring and summer weekends in our family are spent going on hikes, long walks, visiting amusement parks or fairs and generally just being active. We log a lot of miles on our feet and sometimes mama and papa need some relief from the minor muscle aches that are a result of always being on the go, go, go. Not to mention that mama sometimes needs a little sumthin’ sumthin’ for menstrual cramps.

I can’t tell you how many times my husband and I have been out with the kids and one of us gets a headache or cramps or muscle aches and we look at the other one and ask, “Do you have any TYLENOL®?” When the answer comes back as “negatory,” it’s really annoying because we always have some at home, but what good is that when we aren’t at home?

I used to have an adorable pill box that made it easy to travel with a few pills at a time, but I can’t find it anywhere. Anygüeys, that’s why I finally decided to grab a travel size tube of Extra Strength TYLENOL® and pretty it up a bit. Check out how I did it.

DIY Pill Box/Container

DIY Pill Box

Supplies:

  • Container to use as your pill box (I used a travel size TYLENOL® container, you could use a small empty bottle, a small mint tin, those plastic contact lens holders, whatever)
  • Washi tape or craft tape of your liking
  • Scissors
  • Stickers
  • Clear tape

Make a pill box

Directions:

Remove any plastic covering from your container and make sure that it’s nice and clean.

Wrap washi tape/craft tape around it using scissors to cut the tape. If the washi tape is not wide enough to cover the entire container, tape more rows on until it’s all covered.

Add stickers if you like.

Cover the whole thing with clear tape if you want. I just did that so that the stickers wouldn’t peel off of the washi tape and start looking raggedy.

That’s it. You now have a reusable pill box that you can put in a grab and go kit.

Consider this your friendly reminder to get yourself ready for on-the-go pain relief.
