My daughters’ school hosted a science fair this weekend and I have to say it was WAY more fun than I expected it to be. I mean I expected it to be fun, but they far exceeded my expectations.
The kids were given passports and every time they completed a project at one of the 10 science fair activity stations, they would get a stamp. Once they filled their passports with all the stamps, they were given a prize. The end prize was in addition to getting to keep most of the projects they worked on. SCORE!
The stations included…
A robot battle
Two identical robots try to flip each other over. Since they are both exactly the same in every way, the kids have to figure out a way to use momentum to flip their adversary.
Plant growth cycle
Kids got to learn about the growth cycle of plants and then plant a seed.
Slime
The slime station was unsurprisingly the busiest station of all. Kids love slime. Glue sales must be through the roof.
Free food for the whole family
OK, so the food wasn’t really one of the activity stations, but it was awesome nonetheless. How great is it to host a free science event for the school and also provide free food for everyone in attendance? It’s the GREATEST!
