Week 8 of My Shelter in Place Travels

I’m writing this while in bed with a belly full of yummy food that was served to me by my loving family because it’s Mother’s Day and I’m a mother! I’ll be spending the entire day at home being lazy, but in my imagination, I will be delivering virtual flowers to all the mothers in countries that are celebrating Mother’s Day as part of my shelter in place travels.

My shelter in place travels started on March 17 when San Francisco asked residents to stay at home as much as possible in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus. I am more than happy to stay home if it helps keep more of us healthy and stops hospitals from being overwhelmed. But staying at home doesn’t mean that I can’t travel virtually, which is why on what is day 55 of sheltering in place for us, I’m all about sharing the love with my fellow mamas.

On day 55, I travel to all the countries celebrating Mother’s Day, to wish all mamas a Happy Mother’s Day!

Day 55 of shelter in place in San Francisco: Today is Mother’s Day and I’m staying at home and enjoying being pampered by my family. While I’m at home physically, virtually I’m traveling the United States, Mexico and every other country celebrating Mother’s Day today to deliver love and appreciation to all the mothers who are doing or have done their best. Happy Mother’s Day! ¡Feliz Día de las Madres! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌷🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 #shelterinplacetravels

A big thank you and “oh my gatos, que nice” to @hiplatina for including me in the lineup of their “10 Badass Latinx Mom Influencers That Will Inspire You” article. I am super honored to be included in the company of @karimjones, @desumama, @silirecio, @majoseovalle, @inesbayardo, @crafted.by.christine, @lacooquette, @bricialopez and @anaflores. You know that Groucho Marx quote about not wanting to join any club that would have me as a member? Well, screw that, I totally want to be in any club that these other mothers are in because they are freakin’ awesome and I’m not sure how I made it onto the same radar that they’re on but YAY!!! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 To check out the full article and all the wonderful things written about all these wonderful women, check my bio or figure out how to go here: https://hiplatina.com/10-badass-latinx-mom-influencers-that-will-inspire-you/.

I hope you had a happy mother’s day. I shared a link to a photo of an unusual extinct animal that I took at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Sorry if this is a triplicate comment. I wasn’t sure if the other ones went to a moderation queue or if they were just eaten.
