I’ve been sick. Very sick. The kind of sick that involves lots of coughing and phlegm, which sometimes leads to throwing up. Yup, you really needed to know that.
I finally made an appointment to go to the doctor. I walk into the office, they take one look at me and demand that I put this on…
Can you blame them? They have to protect themselves. Plus I find that the over-sized frames and face mask are rather slimming, don’t you? One of my eyebrows always insists on being a rebel.
So happy to have insurance and be able to visit the doctor when needed. It’s a blessing. It’s not a blessing to be sick, but it is a blessing to be attended to when you are ill. I’ll count my blessings and this view from my doctor’s office is one of them.
Oh, and just so you don’t worry. I am getting better, I’m just taking my sweet time.
You can be assured that you are indeed, sick, when the doctor’s office insists on one of those things. God rest ye well, my friend.

Hope you’re feeling better soon. A couple of years ago when the chicken flu was going around my sister-in-law from Japan sent me a whole bunch of sick masks. I tried wearing them to the doctor’s office, but I got the weirdest looks. Even though he has a sign that says please wear a mask if you’re sick. So I gave up on that. Not really sure what to do with the masks but it was a sweet thought.
I have allergies, it’s like having a low-grade cold that never goes away and that sometimes gives me asthma attacks. If there was a magical cure for allergies, I would be all over it. I hope you feel better soon and yes, having health insurance is a blessing even if it is a pain in the ass sometimes (or is that just me?)
