We would both walk to the ends of the earth for each other if we had to, but we would much rather spend our time walking to the ends of the earth together because that’s how we fell in love. It’s also how we keep ourselves and our relationship active.
Relax for a bit and let me tell you all about our walking love story, consider it a tutorial on how to combine better-for-you living with healthy loving.

OK, here it goes! Once upon a time, before my husband became my husband, he was my friend. We met at work and began hanging out outside of work. We’d go for long walks and talk and talk and talk. Now, when I say long walks, I mean miles and miles. We’d have no particular destination in mind, we just enjoyed walking and talking.
Those walks and talks kept bringing us closer and closer together. Before we knew it we were walking hand in hand.
It became extremely clear to both of us that we were meant to walk through this world hand in hand. Seventeen years later we continue to walk together as much as possible. We take long walks together because it’s good for our active lifestyle, it keeps us connected as a couple and because we love it.
Some people find it hard to take 10,000 steps a day, for us that’s a piece of cake. Actually, it’s better than a piece of cake because it’s WAY better for you.
In the beginning, our walking dates would end with him walking me home and eventually heading back to his own place. Now, they end with us walking home together. It stands to reason that when we get home from our long walks, we’re tired and want to snack, enjoy an adult beverage, watch a flick and chill.
