Our wonderful friends invited us to spend part of spring break at their cabin in Sugar Pine, California. The only acceptable answer when the Universe in the form of friends provides you with such generosity is YES as far as I’m concerned. The drive from San Francisco to Sugar Pine is over 3.5 hours, but so worth it. Sugar Pine is in Madera County and at an elevation of 4,236 feet.
We had such a great time and as luck would have it, we got to experience snow falling for the first time together. Both my husband and I had been in snow before, but we’d never seen it snow and the girls had neither been in snow nor seen it fall. Granted, it wasn’t much snow, but snow is snow and we loved it. We played in it it, sled in it and some of us may have even had to pee in it.

I NEED to runaway! I think about it more now than when I was a teenager. Funny how that works
