That’s really funny–I love it! 🙂
Hot Dog!
That is pretty awesome….slightly strange…..but pretty awesome!
I dig it. There was a huge campaign to save that sign and I’m glad that they succeeded because it’s got character.
Now, that is cute!
Well, great minds think alike. I love this guy. I got a couple of shots of him last week though yours are much better. Love seeing him here.
What a cool landmark. Love that the city chose to save this wonderful example of urban art.
that signage does not make me want to eat there LOL
The last remaining landmark of the Doggie Diner. A piece of eatery history lives on.
hot dog place? or do the dogs actually cook…hmm…smiles.
That is too funny! This is my first week participating, having a blast. Thanks for doing this!
I’m not participating this week (had a really important topic that had to posted today) but wanted to pop by and say hello. I pray that your pregnancy is still progressing well.
Kitschy. I like it! I’ll have to get a shot of our pink elephant landmark.
What a fun way to keep a bit of history in tact, even after the original diner is long gone. Our “town” is rapidly developing and many old funky stores, restaurants and so on are being wiped out. It would be so cool to have the signs and mascots that lived outside those old places memorialized and made into feature landmarks just like this one. – G
That is a little freaky, but fun!
That Doggie Diner sign is so cool! Love it1
I thought it was Deputy Dawg. Dang.
Dogs must be very happy to have their own restaurant! 🙂
That is doggone cute. I would love to visit the Doggie Diner.
gr8 idea! I’ll surely do sometime!

Oh my, that’s different!
I don’t know anything about that place but I wanna eat there now.
I totally want to go to the Doggie Diner. If I ever am lucky enough to make it to San Fran I’ll call you and maybe we can meet there!….but I guess it’s just a landmark and not an actual place to eat? Oh well.
It used to be a place to eat, but no longer. The only thing that survives is that sign.
How fun!! Love it!!
My little’s would love that! Happy Sunday to you and yours. XX
lol..That has to be some kind of diner.
Haha how cool!
That’s so cool! 🙂
We finally got something interesting in our town! Hoping to find a pic online cuz I can’t drive down to take a pic of it.
Hope you’re having a good weekend.
This made me smile. 🙂
Are humans allowed in the diner?
It used to be a diner for humans, but now the only thing left is the sign.
This is so cool. I’m glad that it wasn’t torn down.
Doggie Diner landmark? I’ll look for it next time.
Where on earth do you find these cool bits of life in SF? I am amazed by how unique and fun you manage to find with your camera. I love this dog! And now I want a hot dog.
I have driven by that several times but I don’t think I’ve ever eaten there!
Very cool. I love diners.
That is just CRAZY!
I lived there all of the 90’s where the heck is that.. I dont remember seeing it! LOL!!
It’s by the SF Zoo.
That sign would make my kids want to stop for sure!
always such a great time in your city 🙂
Hilarious!! I missed SIMC this week….be back next week!
Fun. If I didn’t already do my Sunday 160, I would be all over your Sunday’s in my City.
haha, doggy diner!
This doggy always brings back memories. I always make it a point to look for it when I drive by the zoo area.
All the bazillions of times I have been to San Francisco and I don’t remember this. Next time…..I gotta find the dog.
