Man, those places are so cute. They look like they belong in a theme park.

I have always been a fan of Victorian homes– SF has some realllly great ones.

Hope you’re feeling good and your sweet family is all getting plenty of rest.

I love the look of those rounded tower bits on houses like that, but can’t help but think they must be terribly impractical to furnish, unless you just chuck a giant round beanbag in there and turn the whole thing into a window seat. Actually, now that I think of it we have just the thing in our office at work, it’s called a LoveSac. No, I don’t know why we have such a thing in the middle of the office either.

What amazing architecture. I could easily live i the first one. I have been catching up reading your previous posts. I know Mothers can irritate. My Mom asked me the other day if I ever vacume my chairs. I said of course, she says oh well everytime I come to your house I sure get pet hair on my clothes…last time she was here I gave her her own lint brush just in case…so trust me I understand what you are going through., hope you and baby are fine. I think of you often., take care. hugs.

My first husband’s older brother and SIL lived on California (st or ave?) there, and they lived in a place similar to one of these. The place was very large. My kids liked it there so much. There is an easy going atmosphere and yet an elegance in San Francisco.

    great shots – very SF
wondering if those houses dropped much in the housing crisis. I doubt that type of house would remain on the market long with a foreclosure type price.

I cannot even begin to explain how much I love these beautiful houses. My doodles since childhood have included meager attempts at drawing my dream house – a stately old victorian. It’s a little stunning, though, to see them jammed sided by side and teetering over the sidewalk and street.
