Feast your eyes on Stephanie Sigman, she will be the first Mexican actress to portray a “Bond girl” in the film franchise for the upcoming 007 film, “Spectre.” She will be playing the character of Estrella opposite of Daniel Craig’s Bond. In 1954, Mexican-born Linda Christian played a Bond girl in a small screen adaptation of book Casino Royale, Sigman is the first Mexican Bond girl to take the big screen.
- So my kids are NOT into macaroni and cheese, but I know that Kraft Macaroni & Cheese is a staple in many kids’ diets so I hope everyone who may be affected is aware of the voluntary recall of 242,000 cases of Original flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner because some of the boxes “may contain small pieces of metal.” Qué miedo! Click on the link for all the details of what boxes are affected. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
- Did you know that for $15 you can now send someone a bag of gummy penises by mail? Yup, it’s a service called Dicks By Mail. There description on Facebook reads, “Send a bag of Gummy Penises anonymously to really get that message across. We lovingly attach a note to each bag reading: EAT A BAG OF DICKS.” I wonder if they have a gluten free version? Also, how much do you get for $15? Post by Dicks By Mail.
- I have a deep and abiding respect for Ashley Judd. This woman is fierce, intelligent and outspoken in a way that I find inspiring and liberating. A couple of years ago, I even wrote an open thank you note to Ashely Judd for opening my eyes to how I unwittingly participate in the system of patriarchy. Right now, I want to thank her for speaking out against internet trolls that attacked her on Twitter. She wrote in an essay on Mic.com
”What happened to me is the devastating social norm experienced by millions of girls and women on the Internet. Online harassers use the slightest excuse (or no excuse at all) to dismember our personhood. My tweet was simply the convenient delivery system for a rage toward women that lurks perpetually. I know this experience is universal, though I’ll describe specifically what happened to me.”

I never realized how many recalls there are until I became a parent and now I always have an eye out for them. When Put Pie was still in her crib there was a huge crib recall at least one child died and I was sure it wouldn’t affect us, but checked anyway and yup, our crib was one of the ones that had been recalled. I couldn’t let her sleep in it one more night and I was so upset that anyone had been hurt.
