Hola hijos de la chanclada! My chancla and I are so happy to have you read another installment of The Flying Chancla Report, but we must be honest we haven’t been thrilled by too much of anything en el internet lately. I mean where’s the joy, where’s the carcajadas where’s the something we haven’t seen before? Don’t despair, we still have goodies for ya, pero we had to search harder than usual and give out more chanclazos than necessary. Here’s what we got for you…
- Don’t you just love it when your abuela, tía or mamá who happens to have a gorgeously lush accent sounds like she’s cursing in English even though she’s saying something totally non-offensive? My chancla and I find it HILARIOUS. Kind of like when my kids were learning to speak and couldn’t say the “r” in fork so it came out sounding like f@ck. They’d be all, “I need a f@ck!” It was both mortifying if we were in public and so freakin’ funny. Pues, check out this “When Abuela Curses in English” hilarity from the super chistoso folks at Pero Like.
ALSO READ: Word to Your Madre - I don’t know what the weather is like where you live, but it’s gonna be chancla weather in many parts soon and my chancla and I thought you might want to treat yo’ self to these Frida flip-flops we found. They are going for about $15. It is kind of weird to walk all over Frida with your stinky feet, so you might want to save them for other chancla uses.
ALSO READ: Frida Kahlo Fotos and Frases - My chancla and I were making our way through cyberspace when we saw this T-Mobile ad and we both did a double smack because we thought this hipster was Don Ramón (as played by Ramón Valdés) with a cellphone.
I mean doesn’t this hipster kind of look like Don Ramon to you? They at least dress alike. I had no idea that Don Ramon was so hip. He’s like the OG hipster!
That’s it for this week’s The Flying Chancla Report. I love you mucho and remember, spread love, not chanclazos!
