Need tips for dads? Are you a dad looking for advice? Want to read about the best father in the world? You’ve come to the right place because I live with the best father in the world! Yup, that’s right I’m claiming the title of Best Father in the World for my husband, Unknown Papi. There is no point in trying to convince me that he is not the best because I see how he gives fatherhood his everything and although he may not be perfect, he is absolutely the BEST FATHER THAT HE CAN BE and that makes him the best father in the world to his daughters and to me. The good news is that the title of “Best Father in the World” can be claimed by more than one father because “best” means different things to different families.
Unknown Papi has agreed to answer a few questions on fatherhood. Below is a hard hitting and sometimes chilling exposé on the rigors of fatherhood, not really just a Q&A with the man I love and the father of my children (they’re both the same person in case you are wondering).
What do you know now, that you wish you knew when you first became a father?
I wish I knew how much I would love them so that I could prepare and be ready to take care of them better financially.
What is the most disgusting thing you’ve had to deal with as a father?
Projectile vomit from the stomach flu, but I wasn’t crazy about the umbilical cord cutting either.
What advice would you give to someone about to become a father?
Do it! Just do it!
Are you the father you want to be?
For the most part.
How would you improve?
I’d be financially stable and I’d make friends with Superman so he could protect my girls forever.
What is your dream for your children?
I want them to be happy doing whatever they love to do.
What are your top 5 items to pack in a diaper bag?
Diapers, wipes, snacks, snacks, and water. Oh and coffee.
Other than cleaning bums what have you used wipes for?
For spit up on my shirt, milk on my pants, as a hair tie, and dusting.
What is the hardest thing about being a father?
Loving them so much. That’s also the easiest.
How do you deal with the stresses and messes of being a father?
If you just wait a few minutes, they’ll do something cute and it will all be okay.
How do you remind yourself that you are a husband as well as a father?
Huh! Honestly, it’s hard. The kids take up every waking moment, but when they go to sleep and you get in bed next to your spouse, you remember how you got there in the first place.
I would like to add that the #1 tip for fathers should be keep your baby’s (or babies’) mama happy. Don’t you roll your eyes at me, Unknown Papi!

I love it. He is an awesome dad, and he’s got a sense of humor, too! My husband never managed to pack the diaper bag. He always assumed it was good to go or relied on me. I’m truly impressed.
And how you manage to consistently take such gorgeous photos yet show no faces is a true talent. I am in awe.

Thank you. The problem with the picture taking is that I’ve developed such an inclination for not showing faces that I have to remind myself that for our personal albums I need to include to mug shots.

He sounds like a great father. My Tejano is pretty great too. He just took our son out for a walk so I could have some time alone with the computer. Oh, and wipes are seriously the best parent tool ever invented. I use them for everything now.
