Although, I celebrate and proudly represent my Latinx heritage every single day of the year, I wanted to partner with Xfinity on this sponsored post because I think that Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) is a great time to remind everyone that we are a very diverse group with many different stories to tell. This HHM, I am challenging myself to explore Latino/a/x stories that I’m not familiar with and one of the ways I’m doing it is via the Latino programming being offered by Xfinity. I invite you to join me.

Hispanic Heritage Month 2020: Echando pa’lante juntos
Echando pa’lante juntos means “moving forward together.” In honor of HHM, from September 15 to October 15 this, Xfinity has curated a vast array of content that tells the stories of those who have moved pa’lante and paved the path for generations to come.
5 Things I’ll be watching from the Echando pa’lante juntos collection:
- “Entre Nos” – Movie based on the true story of a Colombian mother
- “Food Chains” – Documentary about agricultural labor in the U.S.
- “Fluffy’s Food Adventures” – Reality food/travel show featuring comic Gabriel Iglesias

- “Cristela” – Sitcom starring comic Cristela Alonzo that should totally get revived
Accessing the content is easy!
PRO XFINITY CUSTOMER TIP #1: Just say “Latino” into your X1 Voice Remote to access all the Latino content available to you.
PRO XFINITY CUSTOMER TIP #2: You don’t have to be an Xfinity TV customer to access this content. I’m an Xfinity internet-only customer and I access the content via the Xfinity Flex streaming TV box, which is free to internet-only customers and comes with the X1 Voice Remote.

BONUS: Tell Your Story and Be Part of the “Fabric of America” Digital Flag
Starting on September 21, Xfinity customers will be able to upload their own Hispanic heritage stories. The sound waves will be turned into digital threads that will form a web-based, 3D American Flag. How cool is that?!
Remember that there is always more to learn about Latinx culture and history and a great way to do that is through books, art, movies and entertainment.
