Are you Lookin’ at Me?

019Growing up, I never liked dolls. I always thought they were kind of creepy. Now, I’m surrounded by them. It seems that Put Pie does not share my aversion. I still think they are kind of creepy.

I agree!  I never really loved baby dolls.  I had stuffed animals of all kinds and Barbies.  I loved the Barbies!

Isabella isn’t a doll person (I totally was).  She’s more into stuffed animals and Fisher Price Little People………….Strawberry Short Cake, and the like.

When I was 6 years old I was ‘traumatized’ by a  blue eyed pink dress wearing huge walking doll, as big as I was, and I was a big 6. I shoved it in my closet and threw a blanket over it where it usually tumbled out and scared the poop out of anyone who opened the closet door. Hence, little daughter only had one small doll, The American Girl Josephina, when she turned six.

I used to like Barbies, but not for very long! I preferred paper dolls.

Always reminds me of that Chucky doll of the Child’s Play fame. Errgh. I wasn’t much of a doll type either – but I remember coveting one big doll someone I knew had – it was quite gorgeus.  Find Barbie gross though.

Look at me – do I sound weird?  *wink*

Funny thing is – someone gave my son a doll when he was little – and this one’s quite cute. Not sure if I can share the link here, though 😀

I never saw any of the Chucky movies. I can’t handle scary movies.

Many of my ideas are wrong, so this one might be too.  Most people find clowns and dolls scary because of movies/TV shows they have seen.  Alfred Hitchcock made a great movie called the birds.  I’ve been scared of black birds ever since.

I think that might be true of many people, but I was afraid of dolls before I ever saw a scary movie.

My older daughter loved her baby dolls; the younger daughter did not like dolls at all.

The doll in your picture is sweet. Some are scary looking I think.

I must admit I find some of the baby dolls very creepy too! Probably explains why I was more into Barbie!

For some reason I really don’t remember my dolls. I don’t think they ever scared me. Glad your daughter likes her dolls!

I did the whole Barbie thing, but that was the extent of my doll playing.
