Blog-Related News (Fragmented Fridays)

The other day, I was done: completely and totally spent. I have been very sleep-deprived lately because Luna Pie seems to be constantly teething and I am her favorite teether. I had no idea how I would get through the day or the next or the next, so I wished for a night to myself in a hotel room. I am not kidding you that a couple of hours later, I received an invite by NESTLÉ® ABUELITA Y NESCAFÉ CAFÉ® DE OLLA to an event encouraging Latinas in the U.S. to celebrate EL DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS… A SU MANERA.

Día-de-los-muertos

The event takes place in Glendale, CA, which means that the good people of Nestlé® y Nescafé® are flying me in and providing me with a one night stay in a hotel room. I am looking forward to the event where we’ll be making papel picado, I’ll get to see some of my favorite bloggers face to face, and I have a date with a hotel room bed.

More bloggy good news: I am continuing my association with the Lowe’s Creative Influencers Network. I love working with Lowe’s because they provide me with challenges and inspiration that just make my home a better place to be. My kitchen is so much better because of Lowe’s.

What is going on in your (bloggy) world?

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie
(don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

You put your request out there and it is answered. The entire trip will be good for you and eventually good for us when you share in your blog.

Okay from now on I’m going to make wishes for hotel room beds so I can see where that gets me. 🙂

I can’t wait to hear about your good night of rest and the rest of the stuff.

Cool. I wanted a night away but it won’t happen this weekend. However, at this moment, I am listening to an impromptu school band concert in a town square near the capital. These drummer boys sound fiercely Mayan.

i love dia de los muertos. i don’t go all out with the celebration, but i think of all the love ones that i’ve lost and pray for them.  i actually collect figurines as well…that will have to be a post about what i’m passionate about one day.

So jealous!  You get to sleep a whole night in a bed by yourself for as long as you want?  A full nights sleep sounds like the best thing ever right now.  My Little Potato is going through something too, not fun for mama.
I’m looking forward to your post too, Dia de los Muertos is one of my favorite holidays!

All quiet on the blog front for the next few weeks maybe more as busy with other projects in the real world.
So pleased that your blog world seems to be going well and hope you catch up on that sleep soon!
