Over a year ago I wrote a post, On Cheating and Being Cheated On, which is about (yup, you guessed it) cheating.
The post is my take on being on both sides of the cheating fence. What I find extraordinary about the post is that every single day someone who doesn’t normally read this blog finds it by typing in search terms like…
- am i being cheated on
- being the cheater
- dealing with being cheated on
- how to forgive yourself after cheating
- I cheated and I hate myself
- cheating spouse
Clearly cheating is a topic that many (maybe most) of us have to deal with at some point or another in our lives. Clearly there is a lot of cheating going on in our romantic lives.
I invite you to read the post On Cheating and Being Cheated On, even if you’ve already read it before. You should read it, not so much for my words, but for the comments that have been left on that post. I am humbled by the experiences and insights that readers have shared in the comments section. Many times when the comments on a post are so good, I turn those comments into a post of their own, but this particular post has a life of its own and continues to grow.
Feel free to add to the discussion. I’m sure that for the foreseeable future someone who is in some kind of pain because of cheating will find that post and maybe reading your words in the comments section will help them.

I think comments add so much to a post! Even the best posts are enriched by the conversations that go on via comment … thank you for reminding me of that 🙂

I agree. I think the comments are what sets blogging apart from other types of writing. Blogging is truly enriched by the back and forth that commenting allows. It’s a written conversation.

Comments are great! And like you said, they can take off on a life of their own.

I’ve been cheated on and it hurts so deeply however I do know that the person cheating, providing they loved you, will also be hurting.

Hey Claudya! This was a thought provoking post, as was the original one about Arnie&Maria. I’ve nothing to report, but salute the folks (and yourself) who were brave enough to recount their experiences. Great stuff. Indigo x
