Curious George Dance Contest #CuriousGeorgeMoms

Not to sound too much like Billy Idol, but do you like good music, do you like to dance? I do. I love dancing. I am the kind of person that if I hear a song that moves me, I will get up and dance even if there is no one else on the dance floor. Doesn’t bother me one bit if I look like a fool. As far as I’m concerned, it is the people that aren’t dancing that look like fools.

One of the joys of parenthood is dancing with and watching my children dance. I mean they practically came out of the womb dancing. I hope they never lose their love of dancing and that they never EVER become inhibitted when it comes to moving to a beat they love.

Do you know a child that loves to dance?

Does that child also love Curious George?

If you are the parent or guardian of a child that loves Curious George and has been known to dance, then you could send in a video of that child doing their best moves to the Curious George theme song and enter for a chance to win a Curious George Curiosity Kit. The Grand Prize winner’s video will be included in a Curious George DVD and they may even receive a visit from a certain aforementioned monkey.

We all know that Curious George is a lover of the arts, but why is he promoting the art of dance? Like that even needs an answer. Dancing just for the sake of dancing is awesome as far as I’m concerned, but the truth is that dancing isn’t just fun, it’s also good for you. Kid’s benefit from dance in all sorts of ways including socially, physically, and emotionally.

Learn more about the Curious George Dance Contest (submissions are due by April 2nd) and how you can enter a video of a little one in your life.

When my granddaughter was younger, she and I would dance freely to all music and dance till we dropped. Today my yoga instructor encourages her students to do that same thing.

I like your attitude. Your love of dancing puts smiles on us all.
