DIY: Personalized Leather Bracelet Craft

Leather bracelet craft

Sponsored postThis is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMe Media and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you see that personalized branded leather bracelet I’m sporting in the picture above? I’m in love with it! I’ve always loved decorated leather bracelets, but what makes this one super special is that if you look right in the center it says “mamá” in my eldest daughter’s writing. It’s the kind of keepsake that I will treasure forever.

I think this would make for such a great gift for any special person in your life. In fact, I’m going to have my daughters make one for my mother, their abuela too because I know she would love it. Oh, and, papá already put in an order for his.

The best part about these leather bracelet keepsakes is that they are super easy to make. Check it out!

Supplies:

  • Leather bracelet or other leather item to decorate (think leather journal, key chain, etc.)
  • Creative Versa-Tool or similar branding/wood burning device

Directions:

I found these cute leather wrap bracelets at Michael’s and couldn’t wait to personalize them.

Leather wrap bracelets

I started off by laying the leather bracelet out flat and having my eldest daughter write “mamá” on the center of it in pencil.

Personalized leather craft #RegalosdeAmorPampers
While she was doing that I had the Creative Versa-Tool heating up. The actual branding or burning of the leather is something you want to have an adult do NOT a child because the tool gets incredibly hot. Also, remember to follow safety precautions like not placing the tool near anything combustible.

Creative Versa-Tool
When my daughter was done writing on the leather bracelet, I simply used the Creative Versa-Tool to permanently burn her writing into the leather and then I added some circle embellishments with a decorative point that was included with the tool.

How to brand leather
That’s it! So easy, right?!

Branded leather bracelet
I’d like to thank the good gente at Pampers for inspiring the creation of this personalized leather bracelet that has already become a treasured possession and for sponsoring the following giveaway.

I’m not a mother yet so instead I will be going home to pamper my mother with a homecooked meal and I’m going to give her a manicure and pedicure then we’re going to watch some movies. If I were to win this giveaway I would give her the giftcard because she deserves a massage.
