- Mother’s Day is this weekend and I’m kinda bummed. Wanna know why? Most of the time Mexican Mother’s Day and the U.S. Mother’s Day aren’t on the same day. The U.S. holiday always lands on the second Sunday of May whereas the Mexican Mother’s Day is always on May 10th. Well, this year the time gods conspired to make both days coincide so my bicultural self only gets one Mother’s Day. I’ll take it, but two is always better than one. Having said that, in honor of the holiday, you should check out this amusing post of Mexican Mom quotes. There are some classics in there like, “¡Que horas son estas de llegar!”
- Salma Hayek recently joined social media or popped her social media cherry if you willl and I have to say she is a breath of fresh air online. Loving her instagram posts in particular like this one where she thanks her chickens:
- I love the idea of this scratch off map! You scratch off places that you’ve traveled. I haven’t been around much so I’d have very little to scratch off, but maybe having it would encourage me to pack my bags and go!
