Father’s Day 2012 falls on June 17th. Are you ready?
Growing up I never celebrated Father’s Day because my father was absent, but now that I have a husband who happens to be a wonderful father to my beautiful daughters I have lots to celebrate.
Don’t let the day sneak up on you. Start thinking about what you would like to get the fathers in your life now or if you are a father start hinting.
Need some help? Unknown Papi and I have a few suggestions for what we think would be great Father’s Day gifts.
Ladies first, so we’ll start with my picks:
A stylish leather satchel.
For fathers with young kids it is great because they can carry around all the requisite kid gear without toting around a goofy-looking diaper bag. I’m partial to this style…

A pair of TOMS shoes.
Not only are they comfy casual shoes, but for every pair you purchase one pair is given to a child in need. I’m liking these perforated leather ones.
Now for Unknown Papi’s suggestions:
Time.
Time to work on his projects. Time do whatever he wants. My addition to Unknown Papi’s suggestion: If you would still like to spend some money on him in addition to giving him time, you could get him a nice timepiece so he knows when “his” time is up.

The libation of his choice.
Give him what he likes to drink and let him drink it. My addition to Unknown Papi’s suggestion: You could serve him his favorite drink in a personalized glass with his children’s birthdates on it.

Sex.
No big surprise there and I will not provide a picture for this example (use your imagination). My addition to Unknown Papi’s suggestion: There is a caveat to this, obviously this is a very intimate “gift” that can only be given to a father you are intimately involved with. You don’t want to go around offering this to every dad you know on father’s day.

My hubby would ask for all the same plus new tools or gadgets! But definitely sex…I really like the Toms!

I love how papi’s requests are so simple. Pour him a drink, then leave the room, and come back in naked. Sounds easy enough.
