Let’s Shape Up for Summer #Positivismo

Remember my guru, El Maestro del Vaso Medio Lleno*(that means Master of the Glass Half Full)? Oh come on, sure you do! This guy…

Ambassador Badge English - 300x

Last year, El Maestro asked me to help spread his message of Positivismo as a Positivity Ambassador for the California Milk Processor Board. I immediately grabbed a glass of milk and sealed the deal with a toast: Salud to you and me!

It is with great pride that I announce that El Maestro has asked for my help again. That’s right my friends, I have been asked to reprise my role as a Positivity Ambassador and this time I positively encourage you to join me on my journey to Shape Up for Summer.

There are so many fun ways to shape up outdoors. You can go for a walk or a bike ride…

or you can join in on the latest dance craze, El Paso Positivo…

Put Pie, my three year old loves this video, I have a feeling we’ll be watching it a few times over. I like it because the girls look like they are having so much fun moving their bodies and that is a positive thing.

I am really excited about getting my whole family outdoors and being physical after what seems like months of being indoors. My plan is to start jogging again. I’m gonna put the girls in the jogging stroller, jog to the park, and run them ragged while having fun. On the way back home we can all cool off with some milk or on occasion chocolate milk. Ice cold milk is not only refreshing it also has minerals that help prevent muscle cramping and has proteins like casein and whey that help rebuild muscles after exercise.

And the fun doesn’t end there because all that activity will lead to one of my favorite parts of the day: NAP TIME! There’s nothing like nap time after some good exercise and a glass of milk. You rest, you recover, and you wake up ready for more fun.

So what do you say, will you join me on my Shape Up for Summer quest? Come on, you can do it. Go for a walk, ride a bike, crank up the volume and shake your whole body to El Paso Positivo video. Your body will thank you and if you get hot and thirsty consider cooling off and quenching that thirst with a glass of milk…your body will thank you.

*El Maestro del Vaso Lleno is a fictional character. You can follow his fictional adventures and very real message of Positivismo on Facebook.

This is part of a sponsored campaign with the California Milk Processor Board and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Loved that video.  And I’m working on the shape up already.  Walks in the morning before it gets too hot, and then the pool once it gets too hot.  Awesome!
