Fragmented Fridays

On December 3, I tweeted the following:

We hadn’t been on a date since my birthday, which was in May. Both the girls were in bed, Unknown Tio was left in charge, and we walked down the block to get a drink and dinner. We left after 8:00pm and were back before 10:00pm. It was brief, but WONDERFUL. We really need to get our act together and do it more often.

If you are interested, I am hosting a $50 The Home Depot gift card giveaway. It’s easy to enter and they have all kinds of stuff you might need.

More self-promotion: my latest post at CafeMom, Birth of a Tradition is up. Every time someone reads it, a blogger in heaven gets a new laptop.

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie
(don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

Go ahead and ask for what you want.

Date Night!  Yay!  I’m so happy you are taking one.  My sister always gets excited when my mom takes all the girls for an overnight – I can imagine you getting just a few hours with your Mr would be wonderful.

I’ll head over to cafe mom because this blogger would like a new laptop.

You definitely need to make “date night” a priority–at least once a month!

I was gonna reply at the other site, but then I’d have to fill stuff out and such. lol

As far as holiday traditions go, my family was never stable enough to really develop traditions, unless of course you consider bouncing back and forth between parents a barrel of fun! lol

Ha, a blogger in heaven gets a new laptop.  Hilarious!  That is good you got a date night – do it more often!  It can be so great even if it’s just a couple of hours.

Glad you two had a sweet little break.

On a random note, what’s the story about the writing across the fortune cookie (in bed)?

The writing across the fortune cookie is just me playing with textures and layers in Photoshop Elements. Not very interesting at all.
