Fragmented Fridays

I am allergic to sunblock; it sucks! It took me awhile to figure out because it does not happen the very first time I put it on, it takes a few applications before I break out into a rash. Argh!!! This only happens with chemical sunscreens, I can use ones with physical barriers like zinc. I’ve been aware of this for some time now, but I screwed up and did not read all of the ingredients on the Trader Joe’s sunscreen that said, “zinc-oxide formula” on the front. Apparently, it has all sorts of other junk in it. I am an itchy, bumpy mess right now.

Man-date Update!
Last week, I wrote about Unknown Papi picking up another daddy for a man-date/playdate. Well, the date went so well they’ve already had another one. The daddies get along great and so do the daughters. Everyone’s happy.
In early May I shared a picture of these guys:

SDC13797

This is what they look like now:

SDC14100

And I thought my daughter was growing fast!

I’m giving away a $60 gift certificate to CSNStores.com and it is super easy to enter. If you are interested, click HERE.

And that’s all she wrote!

Have a great weekend!

I'm not allergic to sun screen, but I need about an SPF of 9,000 to keep my freckles from burning to death.

Aww, the ducklings have reached their awkward teen years … so many memories of my own, which are still going on.

What do you do when you are allegic to sunblock? I am guessing they sell types for allergies right? Hopefully your little one is not allergic too!

I love the man/dates. Nice that he has someone to spend time with, though. Being a stay at home parent can be lonely for either gender!

Oh Mami I'm so sorry you're allergic to sunscreen! That stinks, especially since you do live in a sunny place. As for hubby, I didn't even know you could get play dates for hubby's. Who knew! Maybe I can get one for the mine. And it's great to see how much the ducklings (or are those goslings?) have grown. Thanks for sharing!

Allergic to sunblock eh? I'm afraid I can go one better than that. I'm allergic to the sun. Yep. The sun. After a fairly minimal amount of exposure it makes me come out in a bumpy, itchy rash… which is pretty SuckyMcSuckSuck, except that I should have *fabulous* skin as I age. 😀

Hi! You know I used to be allergic to sunblock. Then I picked up the coppertone for babies one. and no hives. it's the pink bottle, it says for babies.
that's the only one that doesn't give me that itchy bumpy rough red rash.

    have you tried it?

How cute and beautiful those geese are! I'm always hearing from dog people that they wish their dogs would stay puppies forever. Puppies are great, but I prefer dogs. With adult dogs there's less work and more time to share playing and petting.

I hate sun screen too! I'd rather cover up more. Which, considering my figure, probably pleases other people. LOL
