Fragmented Fridays

  • These are the instructions that came with a toy given to my daughter:
INSTRUCTION

STICKY BALL IS COMPRISED OF 32 FRESH AND SOFT NATURAL SUCKING NIPPLES. IT CAN ATTACH ON SMOOTH OBJECTS SUCH AS THE SURFACES OF TABLE AND MIRROR. WHILE PLAYING, IT WON’T CUT HANDS OR FEET AND CAN ENHANCE HANDLE AND REACTIVE ABILITY.

WITH SPECIAL BAT OF STICKY BALL, IT CAN BE PLAYED BY ONE OR MORE PERSONS. WHILE PLAYED ONLY BY ONE PERSON, YOU THROW THE BALL IN THE AIR FIRST, AND THEN CATCH IT WITH BAT WHILE STICKY BALL IS FALLING. WHILE PLAYED BY MORE THAN TWO PERSONS, ONE PERSON CASTS THE BALL TO ANOTHER; ANOTHER PERSON CATCHES IT WITH BAT AND CASTS BACK TO THE FORMER. IT IS FULL OF JOY AND CAN BUILD FIGURE.

NOTE: WHILE PLAYING, BE CAREFUL NOT TO HIT STICKY BALL ON KEY PART OF THE BODY SUCH AS EYES AND NOSES ETC.

  • We flew to San Diego and we are driving back next week. I’m nervous about having Put Pie in the car for 10+ hours. She’s 11 months old and has a pretty easy temperament, but that’s a lot to ask of a baby.
  • I do a weekly feature I call Sundays In My City, next week it’s turning interactive and I’m asking people to link up and share pictures of their cities. I’m scared! What if no one links up? I’m going to feel like Peter Brady when he threw a party and no one showed up.

Friday Fragments?

The Sticky Ball instructions remind me of the fake commercial on the Ren & Stimpy Show for the toy “Log.” “What rolls downstairs, alone or in pairs…It’s log, it’s log, it’s big, it’s heavy, it’s woodIt’s log, it’s log, it’s better than bad, it’s good!”Have a great vacation!

Good luck on the drive. We are fortunate to have a pretty good traveling kid — 15 hours in the car from ATL to Tulsa. I’m going to try to join in Sundays in my City but my city isn’t real exciting. 🙂

Maybe you could let her play with her nipple ball and sticky bat on the
road. That should keep her entertained. I will actually be on the road
Sunday but I will try to get something to you. I want this to succeed
for you, but my schedule is nuts the next couple weeks! I’ll do what I
can! Maybe If I wear a big new Jan Brady wig I’ll be more popular…

I want a nipple ball! Sounds like fun! Especially as it is full of joy and can build figure. What more could a girl want?!Tammy, my Dad often used to tell me to go and play on the road. I’m mentally scared by those comments!! 😉

Is it wrong to feel a little “worked up” reading the beginning of those directions? It sounded so…stimulating! :)Have a safe, relaxing trip. I’m sure your little love will do fine. What if I don’t really live in the city? We’re 15 minutes North. I’ll seriously think about it.
