Welcome to another edition of I Comment Therefore I Am, where I put together a post from comments I’ve left on other blogs. Below are some of my favorite posts from the previous week and what they inspired me to say.

I love the word doppelganger, I use it as often as I can. If I were to start a gang, we would be called the Doppelgangers.

After reading the above post, I went to TechnoBabe’s and she happened to be linking to the same post. Reading what she had to say, made me comment:
I read the post before coming here. I read it about 20 minutes ago and I am still crying. I don’t know if I can really express how freeing it is to witness someone being so honest without shame. It is liberating and a gift.
Normally I would say, “That’s it for this edition of I Comment Therefore I Am”, but today I need your input. I am thinking of making “I Comment Therefore I Am”, a monthly feature as opposed to a weekly feature. I would probably do it on the first Monday of the month to highlight posts and comments from the previous month. So please let me know what you think in the poll below (you can elaborate in the comments section, if you’d like).
Do you give good comment? Wanna play along? Go forth, spread the comment love, and turn it into a post (I keep a draft post open while I read blogs throughout the week). Recycle, reuse, and reduce my friends; it’s the wave of the future.

I think a month would be too long. I know some posts would be within a week at that point but the ones a month out would be too long. In my opinion. Either way, you have a way of making changes and making them work for the good of your blog.

I think if it is not too much to handle, the weekly comment segment is a good one that I look forward to since finding your blog. Always a good read. I will have to check out the prof. As to frequency of this feature – you really need to do what you feel is right, not what we want you to do. Clearly, you want relieve yourself of having to write this column weekly, otherwise you wouldn't bring up the topic. We will accept whatever you decide.
My comments suck lately.

you are very honest to include "just get rid of" in your poll. I voted for the monthly because I sense you are asking due to some stress.
You do know that all your gang members would look alike to be in that type of gang.
Oh one more thing – you go monthly on the comments – suggest you add a favor follower/reader comment in the list. I sure most would be honored to be in your list.
(hmm that might be a useful phrase – the girl has gone monthly)
I'm with @TechnoBabe, I think making it monthly is just too long of a time frame. I look forward to these every week. I keep meaning to participate, but my brains malfunctions and I forget.

First off — doppelganger is my absolute favorite word!!! No wonder we are great friends — though we are in no danger of being doppelgangers!

Finally, I did not vote because I have a split answer — I love reading your comments every week but I would be more likely to join in on a monthly basis. My comments just aren't as consistently awesome as yours!!!

Mami you know i like to play when i can remember! if i had to wait a whole month i'm SURE i would forget! but if it's too hard to do it weekly, maybe try biweekly?

This is such a great series, but if it's easier for you to make it monthly instead of weekly go for it.
I love this post. What a great reminder of how important comments are to each of us as bloggers.
I LOVE THIS FEATURE!!! Because it glorified us Comment Hogs. 😉 If you are worried that people don't like it, then don't worry. However, if because of time constraints, you need more time to gather enough material, then put it on a schedule that makes sense to you. BUT not because there are no fans for this feature!!
p.s. I LOVE the comment you left regarding "vision" as eye care rather than an idea. I was LOL so hard I spit out my food!

My comments are rarely worth repeating but I love the idea – yours are really good, I think you should stick to weekly.

I love your I comment Therefore I am! I may not always comment (I'm a lurker, I'll admit it), but I love being able to find new blogs. Features like this allow me to do that!!
I missed your blog while I was on vacation. Definitely keep the comment therefore I am as a weekly. I love it! It's a highlight of the week for me.

I think the bottom line is that you need to do what YOU want to do. It's your blog, so if you like it, keep it. If not, change it. I'm gonna read no matter what you do.

I do consistently get less comments on this post than any other post throughout the week. The truth is I am a sucker for comments. Of course after considering doing the feature only monthly I've accumulated a bunch of comments that I want to share so for now I'll keep doing it weekly and stop worrying about getting my ego stroked.
I voted in your poll but I just wanted you to know that I LOVE I Comment Therefore I Am. I'd love to see it every week, but if you do it once a month, I will still love it. Just please don't get rid of it entirely. It's fun to read what you've been reading and learn about new blogs that way.
