Okay, when I saw that BuzzFeed made a video about Latina grandmothers giving sex advice I absolutely expected to laugh my pompis off, but I had no idea that I would find the whole thing so incredibly touching. It’s sweet actually.
What got to me is that these abuelas are so willing to be open and communicate with their grandchildren. I’m sure this experience made the bond they have with their nietos even stronger.

My abuela passed away a long time ago and I never got to develop this kind of closeness with her and I certainly did not have a detailed Q&A session with her about sex. She did once tell me that the reason she had so many kids (she had 13) was that she and my abuelo didn’t own a TV. Who knows what kind of advice she could have given me? After all abuelas know a thing or two about sex or they wouldn’t be abuelas, right?
