Every Thanksgiving we do some kind of gratitude activity. This year we made a gratitude tree. It wasn’t fancy or anything. I used empty toilet paper rolls to make the trunk and branches of the tree. Then we made leaves out of construction paper and each member of our family wrote things we are grateful for on the leaves and taped them onto the tree.
We ended up with a very full gratitude tree, which fills me with so much joy because I want my children to be grateful people and they are. Finding things to be grateful for comes easily to them and I know that will serve them well in life.
