Last weekend, we drove from San Francisco to Santa Cruz where we enjoyed a joint birthday celebration for my daughter and her friend at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. I thought I loved amusement parks when I was a kid, but I love them so much more now that I get to see my own kids enjoying them.

Fun times! It has been years since I have been there. Our son graduated with honors in philosophy from U C Santa Cruz. I loved visiting the town.
