Start Using Walgreens Balance Rewards and App #BalanceRewards #CBias

Walgreens-unknownmami

Before I moved to San Francisco in 1992, I had never heard of Walgreens. Now Walgreens is a weekly go-to destination for toiletries, pictures, and all sorts of other goodies. When I found out that Walgreens was launching a Balance Rewards and Loyalty Card program that I could use in conjunction with the free Walgreens phone app, I knew I would definitely be taking advantage.

I went to check out the Walgreens Rewards online and found this banner introducing their Balance Rewards program and a point sweepstakes.

I clicked on the “Join now” button and was taken to a page that gave me more info about the program.

The program doesn’t officially go “live” until September 16, but if you pre-enroll before September 15 you are eligible to win 1 million points. And what can you do with the points? You can redeem the points for items you love.

Enrolling was easy. I already have a Walgreens online account so I signed in with my username and password. I won’t go step-by-step because it is an easy process and the directions are clear.

Then it was time to download the Walgreens app to my phone. How did I survive life before smartphones? I love being able to use my phone to make my life easier. Downloading the Walgreens app was as simple as downloading any other app.

Walgreens App

Features I like about the app:

  • You can see view the Walgreens Weekly Ads on your phone. Who doesn’t want to check out Walgreens savings?Walgreens-Weekly-Ads-on-app
  • You can create a shopping list.
  • You can shop from your phone.009
  • You can check your Balance Rewards.
  • You can get mobile coupons. Mobile coupons are the only coupons I actually use.
  • You can get pictures from your phone printed.014

Guess what I did? I went ahead and ordered some pictures to be printed. Can you believe I have NEVER printed any of the pictures from my phone? Once I was done uploading them, I was asked to pick a store to pick them up at. I picked the closest one to me and was told they would be ready to pick up in a couple of hours. I’ll tell you what though, the closest store to me is not my favorite and next time I will pick them up at my favorite Walgreens because the service is so much better there. Will travel for excellent service.

If you are already a regular at Walgreens, I say: GET ON BOARD WITH THE BALANCE REWARDS AND LOYALTY CARD PROGRAM. You are already shopping there, signing up is easy, and you will get rewards for buying what you would normally buy. Not signing up would be like saying, “No I don’t like rewards!” Who would say such a thing?

Oh and Walgreens is all over social media so be sure to check them out on Facebook and @Walgreens on Twitter. You can also check out my whole process signing up for Balance Rewards and using the Walgreens app via the google+ album I created.

Pretty cool. I already love finding things we need and getting Register Rewards for shopping in store.

I have never heard of them, your blog has become very product orientated recently and I have not heard of most of the products here in Europe. 🙁

I had never heard of Walgreens before I moved to San Francisco either. I grew up in LA and we didn’t have them there. Here there all over the place.
My very good friend lived in Italy for a year and she would request care packages with items she couldn’t find in Italy. Still, I’d give up Walgreens for Italy any day.

I really like that Walgreens carries a decent selection of all-natural toiletries. Seems like there is a Walmart on every corner (in the US). Very convenient!

I love being able to print my camera phone pics directly from my phone.  That’s so much more convenient than uploading them to your computer, then uploading them again to another site, before waiting for them to be printed and mailed to you.  This is so handy!

I agree! That’s why I had never had my phone pics printed before.

I love that you can order the pictures from your phone!  I never do that either!
