I’m reeling inside from these images, Unknown Mami. I’d like to find images from my city to share but nothing can compare.
Sob, sob. These pictures made me cry. Reminds me of one picture in a Reader’s Digest issue which had a very young child looking sad behind a fence.
Haunting images. How cruel can we be as human beings.
On a happier note, I hope you are keeping well. xxx
We should never forget! I just wonder have we learnt anything…
What an extraordinary memorial. Can you believe that some people refuse to believe that the holocaust really happened? Unfortunately this is part of history. It is good to keep a perspective on the good and the bad that has happened. Maybe it will help people remember we are all here together.
We did visit a concentration camp at Dachau in Germany. To say that it was disturbing is an understatement!!
I just cannot imagine what it must have been like then…:(
All I can say is Wow. A powerful memorial.
Wow, that is so incredibly powerful and sad. :o(
Wonderful that you shared this… I didn’t realize San Fran had a memorial for the Holocaust.
Very powerful photos. Being there must be doubly so. Thanks for sharing these.
As often as I have been there, I have yet to take photos, good for you. Thank you
A breathtaking and heartbreaking memorial. Such a powerful reminder of a horrible time.

such a terrible and sad event of history. If you are interested in this tragedy, I recommend the museum in Washington DC. and the short documentary called Paper Clips

Very moving, even in pictures
So sad. Hard to believe that something like that could really happen. Breaks my heart.
Holocaust images are very moving.
I went to the Holocaust Museum in DC once – – – it impacted me greatly.
So visually powerful, as others have said, so sad.
The close up of the hand really got to me. Hands always get me.
Awesome artwork…
these are so haunting… I will have to check this place out next time I am in San Fran.. wow.
These are truly amazing. Some of the best images I’ve seen for a long time. Haunting and awful but also a true reminder of just how evil some people can be.
Wow! Those are some powerful pictures!! I’ve been to several Holocaust Museums. Very important to take our kids to see!
Your pictures are so powerful. And the sculptor did an amazing job of conveying the story.
Magnificent sculptures undoubtedly an emotional tribute. Good photos.
Ooh. Chilling and haunting.
Very effective, chilling reminder. It is good to always remember what lack of understanding can become – evil.
I am late. Well actually I was too early then I became too late. Enjoyed your photos Mami.
wow, haunting and powerful memorial. Thanks for sharing.
