Fast and Cheap

How do you go online? You must be connected somehow because you are reading this.

Are you happy with your internet service?

I’ll tell you what, I’m not so happy with my service. My provider just happens to be lucky that I am a creature of habit and locked myself into a stupid contract.

Right now I’m using a fiber optic connection that is supposed to be all that and a bowl of chips, but it’s just okay as far as I’m concerned and once this contract I locked myself into is over, it is going to be pretty darn expensive.

The thing is that the internet has become a necessity in my life. I NEED it. It’s how I work, how I connect, and how I stay informed. That doesn’t mean that I think I should be paying an arm and a leg for access.

Once my introductory pricing expires, I will explore more affordable options. I just looked into one particular company that offers affordable prices on dial up (Does anyone still use dial up?) and dsl.

Really, what I think needs to happen is that all providers need to offer better pricing and not just on introductory offers. If you can afford to give me that deal for a year, I’m pretty sure you can afford to just keep giving me that same price.

We need more competition and choices when it comes to access to the internet. I find it absurd that prices just keep increasing and what we get in the United States of America for what we pay is nowhere near comparable to what other countries offer. It’s my understanding that in most European countries internet service is much faster and much cheaper. I think Americans deserve it fast and cheap too.

So tell me, do you like it fast and cheap?

Yes! Fast and cheap!  I agree about the competition.  I pay through the nose for my internet and television cable.  It’s ridiculous really.

I like it cheap but not too fast.  We pay lots more for many things in this country.

We have wireless service through AT&T. I have liked it a lot, it is super fast. In five years we have only had one issue with it being out.  One thing I do is keep my internet service separate from my cable because I can’t have both go out at the same time!!!!!

I was hoping my husband would have time to switch providers over the summer.  No luck.  We get OK service for the longest time then it just falls off.  I’d like to switch over to someone who can offer more consistent service – consistently fast of course.

I use ADSL flat rate that includes phone calls in Spain. The speed is 6 megabits andthe approximate price is 75 dollars a month.

I am stuck. We don’t have options as only one provider covers our area so when they send me the bill, all I can do is scream a little, pay it, and hope we get more options soon. (Fiberoptic here too. TV, internet and phone bundle…when we lose one, we lose all. Not fun).
