San Francisco, CA.
I made my first quiche and it was delicious!
Broccoli and Bacon Quiche
Ingredients:
6 large eggs, beaten
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk (I used 1%)
Salt and pepper
2 cups chopped fresh broccoli
As much bacon as you dare, cooked and crumbled (I used a 12 oz package of Niman Ranch bacon)
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 store bought pie crust
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper (I used an immersion blender). Layer the broccoli, bacon, and cheese in the bottom of the pie crust, pour the egg mixture on top. Bake until the egg mixture is set, about 35-45 minutes. Enjoy!

You just made me burst out laughing : )
So funny!
I am trying to remember my first one. I suppose it would have been made by my mother when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I will call her today and ask : )

I don’t like quiche. And, I don’t remember my first or last quiche. But kisses? Wonderful. Even the first one.

Sounds yummy. Would you mind if I pin it?

Are you kidding me? I love getting “pinned”, I’d consider it an honor.

Oh so Yummy (and a perfect shot as always). Don’t remember my first. I’ll use cream when I have guests, otherwise I go with Joy of cookings basic one small carton 1/2 and 1/2 to 3 eggs, fillings, dash nutmeg. Made it so many times I have the recipe memorized.

I don’t even like quiche, yet that looks delicious. You’re a great writer, great mama and a great cook too? You’re too much, Mami. 😉

I LOVE quiche. I used to make it often after I discovered that we liked it just as well without a crust, which was even easier. I haven’t made it in a very long time, I don’t know why!
unknownmami says
I’ll have try crustless. Do you just do it the same way and omit the crust?
AutismWonderland says
This looks amazing! And so easy. I may try it – and anything that requires as much bacon as I dare, has got to be good 🙂
MyLittleMiracles says
It looks delish, and I don’t even eat quiche!
