My husband and I are celebrating 11 years of wedded sometimes bliss. I say “sometimes” because, in all honesty, marriage is not always blissful, amirite? Sometimes it’s blissful, sometimes it’s less than blissful and hopefully, it is always something you both value tremendously. We do, we value our marriage and each other very much.
In honor of our 11 years of marriage, I thought I would share 11 things that I love about my husband with you.
- Sometimes he smells just like maple syrup and I can’t get enough of it.
- He is incredibly honorable and makes me want to be a better person.
- I’ve seen him put himself in danger to protect strangers without giving it a second thought.
- He is an amazing father.
- The sound of his voice grounds me when I’m spinning out of control.
- He is a fantastic cook even though he doesn’t think he is.
- I love it when he is watching TV and I’m in another room and hear him crack up; it makes me chuckle just to hear him laugh.
- If I say something that cracks him up, I feel ridiculously happy.
- Sometimes he leaves me notes like the one above that says “Happy Anniversary” before he goes to work.
- Sleeping next to him is the BEST thing ever.
Happy anniversary to us!
