The weather in San Francisco has been beautiful. My daughters and I have gone on long walks to take advantage of it, but today I was in one of those “I don’t want to leave the house” moods. So, I didn’t. The girls went on an outdoor adventure with their dad and I stayed home in my pajamas all day. Still, the beautiful weather called to me and I answered by simply opening my back door.
This is the view from my back door. It may not seem like much, but I love it. I’ve lived here for 22 years; the longest I have ever lived anywhere. I started my life in this home as a college student renting out a room and sharing the place with other college students. Years later, my roommates were gone and the man that would eventually become my husband moved in. Now, we are married and have two daughters.
This home has been good to me. It’s provided me with shelter, comfort and a back yard with a view that I love.

I absolutely love your view! So peaceful, green and lush.
Especially, when you compare it to the front of our home. We live on a street that is so busy it might as well be the highway. When you’re in the back, though, you can’t tell at all.
That’s lovely – lots of green!
Thank you. I find it soothing.
Your backyard is beautiful! I would love to develop our yard into something so lovely and vibrant!
I wish I had something to do with it, but it’s all my husband. He’s a gardener by profession and at heart.
I love it too, your garden is beautiful!
