Wednesday Wishes

Wednesday Wishes

Some people think it’s hokey to believe that making a wish and putting your desires into the Universe makes them more likely to come true. Clearly, I am not one of those people. I believe in setting synchronicity in motion so much so that I have made a weekly practice out of making Wednesday Wishes for myself and others. Wednesday Wishes is simply a way for me to touch base with my desires and put them out into the Universe by wishing for them.

Wishing along with being open to possibilities has come through for me so many times I’ve lost count. Here are just a couple of examples before I get to wishin’ for this week. Once I really, really wanted tickets to a play that was IMPOSSIBLE to get tickets to and I literally went outside and shouted my request to the Universe. I kid you not, that same week I got a letter in the mail inviting me, myself and I to go to the play for FREE! Another example is that my husband and I desperately wanted to double our income and had no idea how to do it. We were both in dead end jobs that weren’t going to help us with this goal. I printed up signs of how much money we wanted to be making and I taped them up all over the house. Within six months we reached the goal and found ourselves with new jobs and much more fulfilling careers.

See? I told you it works. Now, let’s make some wishes.

Here’s what I’m wishing for this week…

For myself:

  • My mother and nephew have been visiting and we’ve had a great time. Today they head back home. May they have a safe and pleasant trip.
  • I also want to wish for a more solid and consistent relationship with my nephew. It has been 5 years since I last saw him and I never want that much time to pass between visits ever again. My wish is that we see each other at least once a year forever more.

For others:

  • Audrey has the Olympic athletes in mind. She is wishing that none of them come in contact with the dreaded Zika virus.
  • I’ve got a chant for Will, are you ready for it Universe? “Station agent, station agent, station agent!” He’s also big on world peace.
  • Mari, has our friend Chantilly in her thoughts. Please help Chantilly heal, find affordable healthcare and alies that will help her on her journey to wellness.
  • Eileen went through a terrifying experience that has left her feeling unsafe in her own home. She is wishing to “become stronger as the days go by” and for the sense of safey that she once had to return. As someone who has had their sense of safety stolen, I want to tell her that things may never be the same again because now her body and mind have been introduced to that sense of fear and threat, but that day by day it will get better. She is also wishing to always have the wherewithall to be a protector for her children. I have no doubt that those instincts will ALWAYS kick in for her, she has more than demonstrated her ability to protect her children. I would like to add something to her wishes. I hope that if she finds that she needs help processing what she has been through that she reaches out to medical professionals who can help guide her to counseling. There is no shame in needing help to process an experience like the one she’s been through. There are doctors, counselors, therapists, and other people in similar situations who truly understand what she is going through and can provide her with tools and coping strategies.
  • Paty is wishing for “abundant blessings for each and every person” that is making a wish this week and for each and every person who reads this post.
  • Gabrielle would love big doses of “strength, courage, and inner peace.”
  • Carolyn wants you to set a very LOUD alarm and help Americans “wake the hell up in November.” For reals though because I’ve been hearing the alarm loud and clear, but apparently a very large portion of this country is hard of hearing.
  • Emily is wishing for “energy and patience.” She’s got a few hurdles in her way, may she clear each and every hurdle with grace and badassery.
  • Lexie’s wish is that her dad comes home back all kinds of successful from his business trip.
