Big Book Sale at Fort Mason in San Francisco

Big Book Sale at Fort Mason in San Francisco

This weekend, the Friends of the San Francisco Library is hosting the 53rd Annual Big Book Sale. This sale is SO BIG that it is the largest used book sale on the West Coast with over 500,000 books and media.

Big Book Sale San Francisco

Everything is $3 or less and on the the last day of the sale (9/24) EVERYTHING is priced at $1.

According to its website: “Friends of the San Francisco Public Library is a member-supported, nonprofit organization that fundraises, advocates and works with partners and volunteers to provide critical support for the San Francisco Public Library and the Bay Area Community.”

These people do good work! The money that this organization raises helps fund incredible library programs throughout the year that are such a gift to the public.

As for the book sale, it’s a book lovers HEAVEN. So many books for so little money. How often do you get to fill a shopping cart with piles and piles of books? If you ever get a chance to go to the Big Book Sale in San Francisco, GO!

Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have some reading to do.

I love book sales. Usually I end up with tones of books to read… Then I moan I don’t have time for them… 🙂
    Have a good week.
    Thank you for hosting.
