How You Can Help California State Parks This Summer

How to help California Sate Parks Foundation

Sponsored_Post-unknownmamiI am a California girl born and bred, and I happen to be in the process of raising two more California girls so when I was invited by SUBWAY® Restaurants and Social Moms to participate in the “You Share. We Share.” program that in my area will benefit the California State Parks Foundation I was like, “Heck, YEAH!”

What this means is that I get to tell you that from now through August 31st, SUBWAY® Restaurants in the USA & Canada are participating in the “You Share. We Share.” campaign to help support different charities. Your involvement is crucial because when you purchase food at SUBWAY® Restaurants in the San Francisco and Sacramento areas during the weekends this summer, a percentage of the sales up to $100,000 will be donated to the California State Parks Foundation.

I don’t know how much you know about the California States Parks Foundation so let me tell you just a tiny bit about them and why they are such a valuable and necessary resource to California. They are a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and advocating for California’s 279 state parks. Over 85 million people a year visit the parks system. Can you imagine what that means in terms of maintenance, repairs and improvements to protect these gorgeous natural resources?

The California States Parks Foundation does valuable work such as coordinating volunteers, advocating for legislation that protects the parks, maintaining as well as improving the parks, supporting and funding educational programs and so much more. I urge you to learn more about this incredible organization by visiting the CalParks Voices blog and connecting with them via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

California’s state parks need the help of the California States Parks Foundation to survive and the California States Parks Foundation needs the help of regular folks like you and me to keep them going as well.

How easy is it for you and me and our loved ones to stop by a locally owned and operated SUBWAY® Restaurants franchise over the weekends this summer and contribute to supporting great organizations? Let’s do this! Also, ifyou haven’t already feel free to give SUBWAY® Restaurants a like on Facebook.

Please find out more about SUBWAY® Restaurants’ “You Share. We Share.” initiative and help get some much needed funds to local charities.

When I was a kid SUBWAY was my favorite “fast food” so this is so easy for me to get on board with.
