Olympic Birthday Celebration (Sundays In My City)

Olympic rings
Balloon relay
Flags
Gong

A friend of ours recently celebrated her 7th birthday with an Olympics-themed party. I have to say that as far as birthday themes go this one is pretty brilliant because it lends itself to incorporating lots of fun physical competitions with the bonus for parents being that their kids go home tired.

This shindig had sack races, balloon relays, water balloon tossing, target practice, freeze dancing and we even spent some time identifying the flags that were strung up.

You make the celebrations look even more brilliant with your gorgeous photos, Claudya! Thank you. And happy birthday to that 7 year old. Did your girls enjoy themselves?

By the way, I am putting together an ebook, predictably titled “Collecting Smiles” to celebrate my birthday (next Sunday). I’ve invited several blogger friends to participate. I’d consider it a real honor to have you as part of my celebration. Please say yes. And email me one of your existing posts – one that you love – one that makes your reader smile – with a pic and a short 3-line bio. (email is vidya at vidyasury dot com) by tomorrow. No word limit. I know it is short notice, and I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you. Blessed to reflect that I’ve now known you for several years! 🙂

Please tell your children to stop growing older. They are at the age of enchantment and should not be allowed to get older. By the way, nice theme for a birthday party.
