UnknownMami.com a Year in Review

WordPress sends out an annual blogging report to those that use their stat services, which is a nice time capsule and a great way to look back at your year in blogging.

Funny thing is that last year when I got it, I was like, “I don’t get it, it’s just animated fireworks.” Well, that’s because I didn’t scroll down. Duh! This year I did scroll down and it was WAY more informative and interesting (to me at least). It got me thinking of what a great year it has been blogging-wise and how things are just bound to get better in 2013.

So with info from both WordPress and Google Analytics, I present to you:

It’s true, I did have the sick “advantage” otherwise this post wouldn’t have gotten written. I’ll happily send you a tissue with my germs on it if you are in need of the sick advantage yourself.

Holy Moly (I don’t get the chance to write that phrase often, so Holy Moly) I had the most comments here.  Really it shows that you write interesting posts that trigger thoughts in my head.  I’m very glad you checked the comment stats.  I happened to be looking at comments on my blog when I saw yours.  Lately I’ve been hit with a load of spam comments and I was just cleaning them out.  The filters work good so I don’t think any got through.
Well you can count me down for one comment for 2013 now.

I appreciate your comments because it’s not like you ever leave generic ones. Thank you, I was pretty impressed by your prolific commenting when I saw all the commenting broken down by numbers. Holy moly, indeed.

One thing that helps increase my total is getting into a discussion on your blog.  I wish more people would engage in discussions within the comment section but I do know it takes time which there is a limited amount of.

It’s true and it’s still one of the main reasons why I like Disqus, but so many people don’t like Disqus, which I think hurts my commenting section in the long run, but it’s my blog and I have to make me happy too.

I love looking at those reports.  My favorite is from where are the visitors from.  It makes me wonder how did someone from Latvia or Botswana happen upon my tiny blog.
The search terms always crack me up too.
    Happy New Year Mami!

Hey Claudya, that’s a neat report!  You know what feels really sweet to me? I remember all the posts you mentioned as though I wrote them myself! 😀 Oh, but that baked crayons thing was very exciting to me – I told everyone who would listen….and since I had just joined Pinterest at the time, I was thrilled to “pin it” and gaze at it – for it looked so very pretty there – and even more thrilled when I got a stream of email alerts telling me about the repins.

I am a bit moist-eyed about the shoutout 😀 (yea…you know I am like that).

What I also want you to know is – you are among my most favoritest people/bloggers. And I wish you wonderful, wonderful year ahead. I get a huge smile on my face when I pray in the morning and think of you. God bless.
